RV Hunting

I think my mom and grandmother have come to grips with us running off to live like gypsy's, my daughter on the other hand thinks we have gone nuts! She's worried her brother isn't going to be comfortable. I don't know how else to express it to her that we are currently too comfortable.

One of the main aspects of this trial is to get so tired of being in the box that we can't wait to get out! I was going to ask her to come with us but she's 18 now and has her own way of doing things, even though I know she would have the time of her life running around the country for no apparent reason.

I can just see her face the first time we did something crazy like boon docking in a Walmart parking lot! Which sounds so silly that I'm really excited to try it!

My dad on the other hand has caught the bug, he called twice today after finding RV's for sale on the side of the road. The sound of his voice was giddy even when he told me "don't ask me to look for RV's I'm finding them all over!" In fact one of them looks very promising, since he told me "I think I found your RV"

It's a 1988 Itusca Class A 32', it has a Chev Chassis with a 454 gas motor, the owner hasn't used it since last summer but wouldn't hesitate getting in it and driving across the country... yeah buddy. I'm liking this one already! So I looked up the companies web site http://www.goitasca.com/ It's part of the Winnebago family! Now I'm really excited, and if the quality of the new ones says anything about the old ones; it will be even better. Other research show the gas mileage to be between 10-12 mpg

I think he said the motorhome is tan, it has a drivers side door, queen bed in the back, couch/bed and chair, awning, new hot water heater, it has a back up camera, 6 new tires, 2 a/c's and the biggest bathroom he has ever seen in a camper, so thats a good sign. The few minor problems are just that, minor the dash a/c needs to be charged, and it needs new aux batteries. And most importantly, I won't have to sell the family farm to afford it! I guess that shouldn't be an issue since we are selling out anyway.

Now I can't wait to see it for myself. It's not that far away, but if I buy it spot on and no one is with me. I might have to leave it there; how tragic would that be! So I will hurry up and wait... again, hoping it is still there this weekend.  I know my dad has an eye for a nice vehicle, and that makes me super excited. Still I have to remind myself if it's meant to be... I have nothing to worry about.
